A “waypoint” is a modern navigational term that can represent different things in different contexts, but the overall meaning is that a waypoint is any single specific location. If our life is like a road map, you might want to mark a specific location on the map where you know you can always find hope when the roads get rough. You would probably mark the spot that you can always find shelter, where you're always loved and treated like family.
